The SPIRA J-400 Baritone is a modern baritone electric guitar that combines the comfortable offset shape of the J series with a deeper, more powerful and more articulate sound. It is primarily intended for guitarists exploring heavy music, modern metal, progressive rock and low tunings where tight bass, clear articulation and good definition are important even at high gain.
The extended 27" baritone scale provides greater string tension and better control at low tunings. The result is a tighter and more focused tone, with low strings remaining defined and articulated even at very low tunings.
A roasted poplar body is combined with a roasted maple neck and Ebony Tech fingerboard. This combination provides a stable and responsive playing base while contributing to a modern, fast feel under the fingers.
24 jumbo frets ensure smooth playability along the entire length of the neck, allowing for comfortable chords, riffs and solos.
A pair of Spira Villain humbuckers are designed for a powerful and defined sound with enough output for more demanding musical styles. The guitar offers tight low frequencies, punchy mids and clear high frequencies that remain well-defined even when using high gain.
