This semi-flat or "half-round" wrap wire is run through rollers to somewhat flatten the wire. This retains the brightness and flexibility but reduces finger noise significantly. This set is actually the same strings as the Nickel Rockers but is simply a heavy gauge, designed for tuning your guitar down to E flat or D.
