The new Grand Regal Series from Cort is based on the popular Grand Auditorium body shape that sits right in between the dreadnought and concert-size shapes for a full but balanced sound. The 45mm(1 3/4") nut width also makes it ideal for fingerstyle playing. GA5F-ZR is solid European spruce top with Ziricote back and sides, Fishman Presys 3-Band EQ, LED Tuner, and Phase control offers sonic flexibility as well as convenience for a variety of playing situations where amplification is needed.
With dimensions of 117mm(4 5/8") body depth, upper bout width at 292mm(11 1/2") and lower bout width at 405mm(16"), the Grand Regal’s body size is perfectly in between the large Dreadnought and the more intimate Grand Concert. This makes the Grand Regal ideal for both strumming/flatpicking and fingerstyle playing and suits the versatile acoustic player who prefers to have one guitar to cover a variety of sounds and playing styles.
With bell-like clarity over a broad sonic spectrum, the solid European spruce top’s transparent character is ideal for both sensitive fingerstyle playing and relaxed strumming techniques. The richness of ethereal overtones is the defining essence of this premium sought-after wood featured on this model.
Ziricote is similar visually to Brazilian rosewood, but with dark greys instead of browns and rich chocolates. Tonally it is similar to striped ebony, but brighter. It is known for low dampening qualities, similar to most rosewoods, with rich basses and clear trebles. Produces more clarity than Indian rosewood, but provides more overtones than Macassar ebony.
3-Band EQ, LED Tuner, and Phase control offers sonic flexibility as well as convenience for a variety of playing situations where amplification is needed.
To complement the bone saddle, the Grand Regal Series features ebony bridge pins for enhanced string vibration and a more natural and lush sound.
A slightly wider nut width that makes it easier for fingerstyle playing.
Crafted out of water buffalo bone for the most natural and transparent transfer of string vibrational energy into the body and neck.
The high-tech finish is strong and resistant to scratches while being lightweight to improve the natural acoustic resonance of the body for a full-bodied and rich tone.
