Hydrate's unique formula of oils and cleaners removes dirt and grime while restoring moisture to the fretboard, preventing cracks and other damage that can happen when a fingerboard becomes dry. Lemon oil and Hydrate are intended for dark unfinished woods like rosewood and ebony. They should not be used on light colored fingerboards like maple because they will darken and change the appearance of the wood.
