With FS5A sticks, Vic Firth has taken the principle of a longboard skateboard as a model for the Freestyle Sticks. The handle and the taper of the drum sticks have been extended in the same proportion, so the drummer has a larger area of the drum stick which he can actively use. The result is a much more dynamic playing experience with much more possibilities in terms of volume and speed.
