Specially designed for younger children, this lightweight flute is played in exactly the same way as a standard student flute, but it has some clever modifications;

1) Like many other student flute models, it has a curved headjoint, but there is no footjoint, which makes it even shorter and provides a better balance for the younger player.

2) To avoid over-stretching the fingers, the keys on the A, G, F, E and D keys have added 'touch-pieces' to bring the fingers closer together.

3) Some of the key additions that have become standard features on regular student flutes, but are rarely used in the very early stages of learning (i.e. trill keys, Bb shake/trill key & E mechanism) have been left off, keeping the weight to an absolute minimum.
